Description
The leveling platform (dock leveler) with a rotary or telescopic ramp is installed in a concrete ramp opposite or in the warehouse gate opening and serves as a bridge between the warehouse floor level and the truck, providing direct access to the truck body. It is used for loading and unloading operations with a forklift.
It is a hydraulic device with a movable upper part, consisting of a base (frame), a platform and a swinging or telescopic ramp. The platform is attached to the dock leveler base via a hinge joint. A swing ramp or telescopic ramp is attached to the platform from the front side through a hinge joint and a system of guides. Under the platform is an electro-hydraulic system consisting of an oil station and hydraulic cylinders (pistons) that drive the platform and the tilt and telescopic ramp.
The platform and ramp are made of corrugated metal sheet and stiffeners made in the form of open profiles welded to the bottom of the platform. The hinge connection between the platform and the base is made of high-strength metal.
The leveling platform with a telescopic arm is used when loading and unloading trucks filled with cargo close to the body doors.
