UNDERGROUND WASTE STORAGE: A SOLUTION FOR IMPROVEMENT OF PUBLIC PLACES AND RESIDENTIAL AREA

Underground waste storage is an innovative waste collection site. There are garbage receptacles on the surface – ordinary trash cans. The garbage that falls there falls below, into a concrete pit, and accumulates there in underground containers until the MSW is removed by a garbage truck. When the underground containers need to be emptied, they are lifted by an electric motor. The connection of electricity to the hydraulic lifting mechanism can be external or autonomous – from the garbage truck’s generator.

The lifting structure is controlled from a console located near the garbage containers. The console can only be activated using an access key.

Storing waste in a sealed underground space has the following advantages:

– there is no unpleasant odor;
– stray dogs, cats, birds, and homeless people do not scatter garbage, which is then carried away by the wind;

– promote the rational use of yard areas.

Sites with underground containers are characterized by a well-thought-out safety and ergonomic system:

– autonomous fire extinguishing;
– the possibility of installing sensors that will transmit a signal about the filling of the waste collection container and the need to remove the accumulated waste;
– the mine is sealed, reliably protected from groundwater or precipitation from the atmosphere, and has a drainage system;
– the modular principle allows you to quickly create structures suitable for each case.
